Featured Quilt - A Symphony of Quilting
What does one do when they have a lot of time on their hands? For the past few years, many of us have had to ask that question due to being cooped up inside for so long. If you're like Mayumi Ishii, you take advantage of that time and create a beautifully symphonic quilt full of hand piecing, hand quilting, hand embroidery, and hand appliqué.
Concerto was featured at the 2022 Houston International Quilt
Festival and shows off how time well spent creates something magnificent. She says, "Over the last two years, the pandemic has increased the amount of time spent at home. However, the time to quilt while listening to music was a fun and fulfilling time. Many roses were played."
