Featured Quilt - Ravishing and Resplendent in Red

Red Rosework by Michaela Byrne is a beautiful, and meticulously quilted, quilt that stands out among the rest due to its striking monochromatic color scheme. Winning multiple awards, including Second Place - Small Wall Quilts at Spring Paducah 2019, Second Place - Traditional at AQS Lancaster 2019, and Second Place - Wholecloth at MQX New England 2018, it will have you seeing red all the time, but in a good way!

What's Up Next For The Quilt Show?

Another Friday, another peek at how the magic of The Quilt Show is made as we go on the set with Lisa Thorpe for our latest show. Lisa shows you how to build a framed bird box collage with simple machine stitches over layers of assorted fabrics, words on paper, ribbon and stamped images. Plus, Alex is eager to share what she learned from her Sue Spargo wool and embroidery class.

Creating A Fabric For A Dior Fashion Show
How Was This Fabric Made?

"One of the Paris embroidery specialists that worked on the Dior Autumn-Winter 2021-2022 Haute Couture collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Maison Vermont offers a look at the creation of a fabric inspired by an archival sample that’s being recreated with lace appliqués, meandering vermicelli embroidery and tiny crystal sparkles to subtly lift the final effect." - Dior

The Quilt Show Puzzle: I've Got My "Iris" On You
"Iris" by Barbara Black

Iris is one of a few garden quilts that Barbara has made, this one in a workshop with Jane Townswick over twenty-five years ago. Hand quilted, and made with many different layers and piecing, the subject matter was easy to choose for Barbara because she simply loves Irises.
