Here is another favorite from our visit to Road to California 2023. We just loved all of the details in this traditional crazy quilt, Sanity is Overrated by Betty Pillsbury.
Betty had this to say when it came to creating the quilt, "I wanted to create a crazy quilt that utilized antique techniques and patterns. Completely created by hand, I found antique outline designs of motifs
from the 1880s. I used many techniques to create those motifs and incorporated them into the crazy quilt. Indeed, Sanity is Overrated."

After a brief respite, the Quilters' Save Our Stories (QSOS) program from the Quilt Alliance returns with a focus on Elly Sienkiewicz. Elly "is responsible for the revival of the Baltimore Album style quilt, in which each quilting block is unique and brought together with others to create an album of sorts." She was a guest as part of Series 4 of The Quilt Show, and is featured here in one of the very first QSOS interviews that took place in the Fall of 1999.
