Featured Quilt - A Stained Glass Stunner
Violet by Susan Green was featured in the Appliqué category, sponsored by your very own TQS, at the 2023 Houston International Quilt Festival. Susan's quilt was inspired by a photo from her past, taken at a place that has since become a historical landmark. She says, "Violet was inspired by a photo I took in 1962 of a stained glass window in a Victorian home owned by my grandparents. The home was originally built in 1891 and is listed in the US National Register of Historic Places. The artists of the 21 stained glass windows in the home are listed as unknown."
