Featured Quilt - Just Another Pretty Face

Beauty Queen by Kestrel Michaud highlights a different kind of beauty for which she is thankful often doesn't come her way.  She writes, "Her skin might be leathery, but this lovely lady enjoys soaking up the Florida sun just as much as the next girl." Can you guess who she is describing? This beautiful appliqué quilt was on display at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2021.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Millefiori by Way of Inklingo
"Silent Garden" by Linda Franz

Silent Garden is one of the quilts from Willyne Hammerstein's book, Millefiori Quilts 3. After interest began to spark in Willyne's books, people began to immediately ask Linda for Inklingo shaped collections related to the books. So Linda got in touch with Quiltmania and began to produce an Inklingo version that allowed quilters to make a version that is easier to put together than using english paper piecing. This is a quilt top Linda made of Silent Garden using Inklingo.

See more of Linda's quilts in How to Use Inklingo for Quilt Blocks and Fussy Cutting with Linda Franz.
