Karlyn Bue Lohrenz was a "Rising Star" at the 2017 International Quilt Festival in Houston. Since then, she has definitely been climbing higher into the sky with one of her latest quilts, Kais Amsterdam. Based on a photograph from her granddaughter, it took her two years to figure out just how to use the purples and bring the image to life. We think she did a marvelous job.
