Retro Living by Tami Graeber won Best Mid-Century Mod Quilt in the Mid-Century Mod/Modern Competition at Pacific International Quilt Festival 2024. Evoking the time in which she grew up, Tami's quilt is salute to all things retro, from the modern decor to the antennas on top of your TV. She says, "Good memories growing up in the 1950s and 60s. Biggest art quilt I ever made. The black and white Hawaiian print used on the binding is vintage."

"Breaking the Drought #2" by Lisa Walton

Lisa lives in Australia which is an extremely dry continent. Most of the population lives around the edges as the center is not really fit for human habitation. However, they still need to eat and the farmers are constantly battling the elements of droughts and floods. This quilt is called Breaking the Drought #2 (as she already made an earlier one) and it depicts the rains finally falling and hopefully sending water to where it is needed.
