Featured Quilt - How Many Circles in this Quilt?

Lotti Deringer made this quilt, A Swirl for Cindy, as a gift for her niece Cindy. Lotti loves to make and appliqué circles...she REALLY loves to make them. We wonder how many she made for this quilt. It must be a lot because it measures about 94" x 94" of full swirling color.

Back to School Fun - Quilty Pencil Roll-Up Tutorial

image

From Pat Bravo at WeAllSew

It's time to get ready for school and here's a fun tutorial from Pat Bravo to make for your little ones as they prepare to start a fresh year of learning.

Pat created‌ ‌this‌ Quilty‌ Pencil‌ ‌Roll-Up‌ ‌that‌ ‌would‌ ‌keep‌ ‌their ‌colored‌ ‌pencils‌ ‌and‌ ‌other‌ ‌school‌ ‌supplies‌ ‌organized!‌ ‌The‌ ‌best‌ ‌part‌ ‌of‌ ‌this‌ ‌project‌ ‌is‌ ‌that‌ ‌it’s‌ ‌fast‌ ‌and‌ ‌easy‌ ‌to‌ ‌put‌ ‌together,‌ ‌so‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌make‌ ‌more‌ ‌than‌ ‌one‌ ‌for‌ ‌all‌ ‌the‌ ‌kids‌ ‌in‌ ‌your‌ ‌life. (Would also make a great makeup brush or crochet hook holder, or small tool holder... just sayin')

New In The Store - Make a Wind Drifter Quilt!

image

"Ride Like The Wind"

The Wind Drifter Quilt Kit, in cool hues of blues and greens, features Robin Pickens newest fabric line, "Cottage Bleu", in a design that evokes leaves blowing in a summer wind.

The kit includes 3" half square triangle papers, fabrics for the quilt top and binding, along with the Wind Drifter Quilt pattern.

(Quilt Size: 65" x 65")

The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Get Into The Groove"

image

"In the Groove" by David Sirota

Made from David's pattern, Sew Many Triangles...So Little Time, In the Groove uses a variation of the Twelve Triangles block. To make it his own, David added a strip to the block to create the diamonds seen throughout. Although it looks like it is made of all half-square triangles, it is paper pieced and is made up of square blocks that are each actually two triangles put together to make each square.

See more of David's quilts in Learn Paper Piecing with the Maven, David Sirota | Adapting Your Studio For Change with Lilo Bowman.
