We all make quilts for different reasons, some happy and some not so much. Robyn made this beautiful and touching quilt in remembrance of her husband who would always bring her flowers. The beautiful hand piecing and machine appliqué shines in each flower that Robyn has created. |

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Tribute to Nurses |

"The Nightingales" by Lesley Riley
The Nightingales is Lesley's tribute to Florence Nightingale, "the founder of modern nursing." All of the photos featured on the quilt are original photos from the Civil War of women who volunteered to be nurses during the time. Lesley wanted to recognize their contribution in helping others with this quilt, which featuring nurses' images from both the North and the South.
