Featured Quilt - First Place Traditional at Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza 2024
Gazing into the Abyss by Romana Frys won First Place - Traditional at Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza 2024. The beauty in Romana's quilt comes from its design. While simple in appearance upon first glance, a close work will reveal delicate and beautiful machine quilting that will blow you away. She says, "This simple design was free motion quilted with ruler quilting and completed on a regular sewing machine." |

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Happy Birthday to You! |
"It's My Birthday Again!" by Kathryn Pellman
It's My Birthday Again! is a fusion of three different series that Kathryn is working on. The frame is part of series called "Not So Mindless Scrap Quilts", where she takes busy prints, cuts them up, and gets to know them. The other two series that Kathryn's quilt encompasses are her Fashionista and Word Salad series, prominently on display as the centerpiece of the work. This employs one of her Fashionista characters celebrating her birthday amongst a word salad filled with words that describe the titular birthday girl.
