Featured Quilt - Second Place Balanced Piecing & Appliqué at Houston 2025

Floriferous by Luz Seidensticker has received two awards this year, Second Place - Balanced Piecing & Appliqué (Sponsored by BERNINA) at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2025 and an Honorable Mention in the Wall Quilts: Quilter’s Choice (Sponsored by Elna USA) category at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2025. Luz's work was inspired by the optimism of the Spring season, saying, "The blooming of flowers every spring reminds me of nature’s power of renewal, change, transformation, and movement, but above all, it reminds me that there is always hope."

WeAllSew Tutorial: How to Make a Button Pincushion

Put Your Pins In This Beautiful Button

Buttons are usually used to keep shirts, pants, and other items of clothing held snugly together. But what if you had a big button that was used to hold all your pins conveniently in one place? That's the idea behind Angie Steveson's Button Pincushion at WeAllSew. While not exactly one big REAL button, it's the whimsy behind the idea that just makes it so much fun to make and then have sit comfortably by your side at the sewing table.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: They're Heading Every Direction

"Every Which Way" by Julia McLeod

Every Which Way is named as such for the flying geese blocks that are going, you guessed it, "every which way". The quilt shows off the two techniques that Julia teaches a lot in her most popular class, Starting with Silk, which are crazy piecing and fabric foundation piecing.

From Where Will You Watch?

One of the best and most convenient features of The Quilt Show is the ability to watch wherever you (as long as you have an internet connection). We thought this row of lounge chairs on the patio of our Branson taping location was a very relaxing place to watch our show (and for some members of our crew, to take a nap). So whether it's your most comfortable chair, or the aisle seat of your next flight, The Quilt Show is available for you to watch and learn from anywhere you'd like!
