Featured Quilt - Best of Show at Quilt National ’25
Viriditas (Greenness) by Shin-hee Chin won Best of Show (Sponsored By Moda Fabrics + Supplies) at Quilt National ’25. Shin-hee says about the inspiration for her quilt, "Rooted in the elements—fire, air, water, and earth—Viriditas reflects Hildegard of Bingen’s idea that nourishment and healing come from nature’s vitality. It celebrates the life-giving force of green, inspired by Beethoven’s 8th Symphony." |

A Delightful Discussion from QuiltCon
The Quilt Show spoke with Nichole Vogelsinger at QuiltCon 2025, and talked about her embroidery pieces and discussed her latest book, "Needles Out". Nichole lays a foundation for four techniques: beading/embellishing, stumpwork, fabric painting, and needle felting. It is a 'WildBoho' fusion of chaos and control.
Alex is LIVE TODAY, May 28, 2025 @ 10am PST, 1pm EST, and 6pm London time. All classes are recorded so they can be viewed later. |

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Fantastic "Fireworks" |
|
|
|
"Fireworks" by Carol Ann Waugh
Fireworks is a collection of two quilts by Carol, and comes from a point in her career when she started looking at the backgrounds of her quilts and started to see that the combination of colors and stitches can create different things from different points of view. So for Fireworks, the quilts begin to look one way from far away, and as you move closer your perception of them begins to change because of those variations in color and stitch.
See more of Carol's quilts in How to Do Decorative Stitching on a Quilt with Carol Ann Waugh.
