Featured Quilt - From the Beautiful Night Sky

La Bella Luna 3 by Patti Louise Pasteur was featured in the Landscape Quilts category at Houston International Quilt Festival 2023. Patti's creative inspiration for the quilt comes from a few different places. The first is a photograph she took of the moon, while the second is the embroidery design on the moon which was inspired by Urban Threads. The third piece of inspiration is also related to the moon, but not quite in the way you may think. Can you guess what it might be?

Here's than answer: Patti says, "La Bella Luna 3 was inspired by one of my favorite movies, Moonstruck. The image is based on a photograph taken from a second-story window on a very cold winter's evening. There is always something magical when looking at a full moon."

Fiber Art Exploration with Brandy Maslowski

There Are So Many Paths of Fiber Art to Traverse

Brandy Maslowski enjoys helping others step into artfulness and discover something they might love. In our latest show, she does this by teaching how to design and create a small art piece that features layered embellishments using a mix of fabrics, fibers, and threads.
