Dreams of a Summer Day by Margaret Solomon Gunn won Second Place in the Pieced-Large category at Road to California 2024. Margaret's quilt evokes those warm and radiant feelings of a Summer day regardless of what season it may be. She says of the making of the quilt and its inspiration, "I hand-dyed silk Radiance fabric. Quilting is done on a non-computerized longarm. Quilt evokes the bold, vibrant colors of summer with the ethereal essence of the sky."

"Field of Flowers" by Diana S. Fox
What Diana really liked about Field of Flowers was when you stepped back and took it all in it looked like the view from your window out into the field. Created from a pattern, this quilt was the one that got Diana into looking at art quilting more because although it wasn't necessarily a solid pattern it allowed her a lot of freedom in the fabrics from which she chose.
