From the very beginning when she started entering quilts into shows in 2018, Kestrel Michaud has taken the quilting world by storm. Winning awards left and right for each quilt that she enters, her brand of fantasy and fiber art is just something new that we can't get enough of. Her latest work, The One That Got Away, just won a First Place ribbon at the 2024 Road to California Showcase. What got away you may ask? Well, it was a steam-powered propeller-driven dog that drifted away from its owners.
