Featured Quilt - Second Place Appliqué at Road to California 2025
Garden Friends by Lisa Mortell won Second Place - Appliqué (Sponsor: Road to California, Inc.) at Road to California 2025. The idea for the quilt came from initially creating just one "six-legged friend" as Lisa calls them, which would be the bee. But the idea became something more when she decided this "friend" needed to be accompanied by his other pals. She says, "This quilt evolved from the Bee block I designed. I decided I needed an entire quilt of all my six-legged friends. With inspiration from my garden and a lot of stitching, I was able to bring each one of my garden friends to life." |

"Twisted Log Cabin" by Lessa Siegele
About Twisted Log Cabin, "An excellent version of the classic log cabin design, this fabulous Lessa Siegele Twisted Log Cabin pattern takes a much-loved classic pattern and transforms it into a dynamic piece of optical illusion art. With the use of graduating shades your hexagon or flowers will become 3D and literally look like they are ready to spin off the quilt."
