Featured Quilt - The Stevii Graves Memorial Director's Choice Award at Road to California 2026
Crossing the Mkuze River by Sandra Mollon received the Stevii Graves Memorial Director's Choice award at Road to California 2026. Using a photo from Beverley Thain as her inspiration, used with her permission, Sandra created another of her stunning and beautiful lifelike depictions of the natural world around us, this time including elephants! She says, "When I saw Beverely Thain's image, I knew it was something I wanted to interpret into a raw-edge fabric collage quilt. I love all of the elements of the image and am drawn to images with water and reflection. I knew the elephants have lots of character and texture to add, and having them as a herd crossing a river is especially heartwarming. Machine quilted, some mixed media."

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Watching The Rain Come Down |
"Here Comes The Rain Again" by Angie E. Knowles
The inspiration for Here Comes The Rain Again was, as its title would suggest, the unpredictable weather that Angie would experience while growing up in Florida. One day you could have sunshine, then ten minutes later it would be absolutely pouring down rain out of nowhere, then ten minutes after that the sun is shining again. The title of quilt was taken from the song by the Eurythmics of the same name.
