Featured Quilt - Building a Quilt from Photographs
College Hill by Anna Chupa was featured as part of the Tactile Architecture exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2024. During 2020, she went on neighborhood walks in a two-mile radius around her home and took "a montage of photographs" that became the inspiration for this quilt. Take a look at how the quilting enhances the details in the printed fabric and enjoy the untraditional design she used to quilt the border. |

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A "Petrified" Piece of Beauty |

"Petrified" by June Jaeger
June says of Petrified, "Influenced by my life, petrified wood, and a bucket of frozen water, I chose a pallet which was foreign to me. I have been a realest focusing on detail. Branching out and becoming freer with this piece was difficult but rewarding. The circle represents my life with a lot of jigs and jags."
