Featured Quilt - The 2022 TQS BOM with a Machine Embroidered Twist
As mentioned Monday, we will be featuring 3 different versions of the 2022 BOM, Garden Party Down Under, that we discovered at the 2024 Quilt Arizona! Hip To Be Square quilt show in Mesa, Arizona. See how each exhibitor put their own personal spin on this fabulous quilt designed by Irene Blanck.
Our second featured quilt is My Happy Place by Susan Whitener of Shoofly Quilters. What makes Susan's quilt distinct is her use of machine embroidery in a number of the blocks which feature flowers and cute little birds. Take a look and see how you can add your own individual touch to make your quilt unique.

"O Happy Day" by Timna Tarr
Timna made O Happy Day when her kid was little so she didn't have time to sit at the sewing machine. As a result, she could carry it around with her and work on it and appliqué on the go whenever she was at her child's activities or had some free time. It changed the way she looked at and worked on quilts because she laid the blocks out only looking at the background fabrics, not the circles. So she laid the quilt out with only the backgrounds in mind and wherever the circles landed they just landed.
