Dawn Star is from Marci and Sara Nephew's book, Not Your Grandmother's Log Cabin. For her fabric selections, Marci chose what she felt were very pure colors. This required her to work with value and strike the right balance of tones to create the radiating star effect that shines outward from the center of the quilt.
