Featured Quilt - A Fine Feathered Quilt

Regal Feathers by Kate DeJonge of Allendale, MI, won Honorable Mention: Wall Quilts - Movable Machine Quilted at the 2025 AQS QuiltWeek - Grand Rapids Quilt Contest and we can see why.

Kate's quilt is whole cloth quilt covered with feathers and remarkable machine quilting. She says, "As a longarm quilter, I wanted to create something that purely reflects my love of quilting. Using only thread and texture, I transformed a single piece of fabric into an intricate design that blends traditional elegance with modern detail."

Take a moment to take in all the details.

An Update on the 2025 Block Of the Month

Regarding Issues with the "Laurel Ridge" BOM

We completely understand how frustrating it can be to purchase a kit for a project that doesn’t include enough fabric, and we want you to know you’re not alone—we’ve always been here for you, and we always will be. Your satisfaction means everything to us, and we're committed to making this right.

We were genuinely surprised by the miscalculation of fabric needed for this project. Lynn is carefully reviewing the pattern, and we’re actively working to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Your trust means the world to us, and we’re fully committed to making this right by sending any missing fabric caused by the miscalculation - at no cost to you. Thank you so much for your patience.

Questions and answers regarding the BOM can be found in the FORUM.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Favorite Quilt of Karlee Porter

"Russian Mosque" by Karlee Porter

Russian Mosque is one of Karlee's very favorite quilts. She made it when she was just developing her Graffiti Quilting technique. Karlee named it Russian Mosque because the column of designs going up the center of the quilt reminded her of those historical, onion-topped buildings in Russia. This quilt is about 15″ x 22″, and packs quite a punch as far as thread count is concerned.
