Featured Quilt - Living In Harmony with the Sea
Aquarium by Chiyo Hosokawa imagines "a peaceful world with humans and sea animals" and was featured at Houston International Quilt Festival 2024. Featuring intricate hand appliqué, embroidery, and quilting, we think Chiyo accomplished her goal with her whimsical and friendly depictions of humans and sea creatures getting along. |

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Hopeful Quilt |

"Rays of Hope" by Teri Cherne
On a journey across the United States in a camper, Teri collected fat quarters everywhere she and her husband stopped. Living in a camper, she says, you can't get too much fabric. However, this did not stop her from accumulating the fat quarters because she "needed' them. After returning from their trip, Teri and her husband bought a new home and she wanted a special quilt for the bed. With all of the fat quarters she collected she created Rays of Hope to be that special quilt. This fabulous New York Beauty quilt won 2nd Place Emerging Entrants at the MQX Quilt Festival New England 2014.
