Featured Quilt - Best of Show at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2025

Congratulations to Laurie Tigner and her quilt, A February's Dream of Spring, which just took home the BERNINA of America Best of Show at AQS QuiltWeek – Paducah 2025. Here's a little bit more information about this newly crowned Best of Show award winner. "While designing this quilt, Laurie wanted a lot of machine appliqué, so she designed the quilt in a way to complete small areas that could then be attached to the background. She loved trying to do 12 matching bouquets, which was a challenge she really enjoyed."

Fashion and History Walk Hand In Hand

Over sixty years ago, on April 23, 1961, Judy Garland made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City. At the performance she wore a hand-stitched sequin jacket designed exclusively for her by renowned fashion designer Norman Norell. This jacket came to be known as her "Lucky Jacket" due to her successes while wearing it. "Join Broadway star Jessica Vosk as she explores artifacts from Judy Garland’s historic concert at Carnegie Hall in 1961," including the "Lucky Jacket".
