25th Anniversary QPC
Name of Maker: Linda Bingham
25th Anniversary QPC - My quilt guild had a challenge quilt contest for our 25th anniversary. The quilt had to be at least 50 by 50 inches, use 25 different fabrics and use a check and a stripe. I wanted it to be elegant and used satin, organza, velvet, brocade, and cottons. I painted on the writing and used crystals to accent. It is black, white and grey. I used beads to make flower centers and buttons for corner stone flowers. The prairie point border is black organza with silver sprinkles.
Name of Maker: Olena Korolova

I made this mini quilt thinking my teacher Jinny Beyer and as a gift for her. It is a sign of respect for her and American people.

This quilt is my first American patriotic quilt and I sewed it earlier Ukrainian patriotic quilt.

This quilt is tessellation.

3 Degrees South of Zero
Name of Maker: PattyC
3 Degrees South of Zero - All of the animals on this quilt were thread painted. The hemisphere in the middle was couched and thread painted. The quilt was machine pieced and quilted. The quilt was juried into ``Quilts at the Crossroads" in 1995 and into Williamsburg in 1996. I thoroughly enjoyed designing and making this quilt. But the zebras drove my eyes bonkers.
