You Can Visit But You Can't Share My Hammock - We are having a Quilt Contest called Florida In Fabric ...wish you were here...at the Ruth Funk Fiber Art Museum located at Florida Institute of Technology where I work. This quilt is my submission to the contest. So excited. Im a forests girl and this place is where i went everyday to unwind and think. I love spanish moss and ferns.
You Are the Brightest Part of My Day - This quilt is based upon the song my son wrote for his bride. Unique in illustrating their relationship, hearts dancing, and "my feet fell in love with your feet".
You Are My Lucky Star - This is a quilt I made for my grandmother in 2003. I chose the roses fabric because my grandmother loves roses and the collection reminded me of her Royal Dalton tea cups that she loved. In 2004 she was moved to a nursing home, so this quilt came back to me.
You Are a Star - I made this quilt for my sister, because she is a star, she would give anyone the shirt off her back, so for that reason I designed (on EQ6), pieced and longarm quilted this quilt for her.
You & I: The Q-H Bond - This is a blue-to-red color change quilt with DNA/elongated chain border, and recycled denim (from our family) for the back, created for my husband, a chemist. Machine pieced & quilted on domestic machine.
YOP - This YOP quilt I made in a class at Asilomar one year. I forget the teacher's name at the moment! I call it YOP for = yellow, orange and purple quilt. I wasn't thrilled using the orange but at the teacher's urging, I did. My friend Judy liked it so much (why, I don't know :P ) so she owns it now. :)
Yo-Yos Cubed Pincushion - This 3 dimensional yo-yo design, is from my own design. I first came up with a design for a related Yo-Yo Ornament in the 1990s, and I have wanted to share the designs for awhile. The pattern is available on www.Patternspot.com, at http://patternspot.com/patterns/sewing-patterns/4705-yo-yos-cubed-pincushion-amp-3-ornaments. Pattern also includes instructions for 3 variations of the Yo-Yos Cubed Ornament design.
Yo-Yos Cubed Ornaments - These 3 dimensional yo-yo ornaments are my own design. I first made them in the 1990s. I sold them at the Illinois Artisans Shop in Chicago, IL, during holiday season. I've recently redesigned them and created a related pincushion design. The pattern is available on www.Patternspot.com, at http://patternspot.com/patterns/sewing-patterns/4705-yo-yos-cubed-pincushion-amp-3-ornaments.
Yo-Yo Lady - There are 400 Yo-Yos in this miniature quilt. I was a member of a ladies group that met once a week at a member's home. We worked on whatever project each of us had in progress, talked, laughed and ate. I became known as the YO-YO Lady while working on this project. Twelve years later, I am still good friends with some of the ladies and they still point out yo-yos to me.
