Lots of Fun!
"SKINZ" - This quilt makes use of the "Turning Twenty" quilt block. It has been done using various animal print fabrics. I was fortunate enough to be in Kansas City area attending MQS this year and while there found the animal panels at a little fabric store in Overland Park, Ks.
I had already put the top together, but when I arrived home I took it apart in the center and placed the panels. They were a perfect marriage for the quilt. Oh, by the way, my Mom and Dad absolutely love it.
"Sedona Starburst" - This quilt and the on below will be auctioned March 13 14 at Friendship Knot Quilters Guild Show. It Was designed in Corel Draw starting with Ricky's Rhapsody design techniques. I then put a Betty Spin on it. I added piecing and then painted and printed it in my home printer
"Seaside" - This fabric is one of a kind. Was printed up for Heartbeat Quilts in Hyannis, Ma. They sold the fabric bythe yard and also in kits for quilts. I purchased the kit and did it all winter long. I had Maureen Anderson do the long arm quilting. We both belong to Hering Run Quilting Guild. I have also entered it in the Quilters TV new seashore themed challenge.
"Scrap-Patch Hearts" - Baby quilt made for Grandaughter. Is made using a variety of colorful fabrics with white on white polkadot background. Completed July 5, 2009. Was machine quilted on a Domestic Machine using stitch in the ditch.
This art quilt is fused on a black background leaving a space between shapes to show a black outline. it has more than 500 pieces and while it was time-consuming it was worth and a lot of fun. it just won a second place award.
