Just finished this after receiving the last months pattern. I love it, not sure how I will quilt it. It was a well written pattern

2017 BOM, done in Black, Red & White.  I also call it the 'free' quilt becasue no 'new' fabric was purchased to make it - specifically for it!  Ya know, sometimes Red just speaks and you must buy!

sticks-and-stones-1
Name of Maker: Judith Caroline Lynch

Sticks and Stones 1 won the Modern Quilt Category at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham UK in August 2017.

The patchwork and the quiting were all improvised and it was fun to play aorund with the fabric.

Name of Maker: Peg Weschke

This quilt was created by printing a picture I took while sightseeing in one of Alsace's Flower Towns.  The photo was printed by Spoonflower on cotton.  I created a quilt sandwich and then densely thread painted over the picture. I used over 25 different thread colors in thicknesses ranging from 30 to 100.

My version of the BOM halo medallion.  I made this as a Tribute to Sue Garman.

halo-medallion-2
Name of Maker: Kelly Pruitt

This is the BOM this year. I just figured out the floater using the instructions and made the star corners after finding the formula for quarter square triangles. It is not yet quilted.

thread-play-2
Name of Maker: Susan Hammon

It is an original design and I used lots of different colors of thread to quilt (1/8" parallel lines) on the solid fabric.
