Barbara's quilt, Red and White - By The Numbers, was selected as the commemorative quilt for the Ruby Jubilee of the Houston International Quilt Festival, but we think it's just as impressive that she kept track of all the fabrics and pieces that went into it. (For the record it's 2,770 pieces and 59 different fabrics).

Watch Barbara in Show 2405 to get the whole story.

Have you any idea what this block is called? Jinny's Game will help you learn.

Alex took a machine quilting class from Jenny K. Lyon at Craft Napa. Jenny brought a wonderful quilt, Morning Breeze, demonstrating all kinds of quilting designs. It had everything from feathers to flowers and presented as a beautiful whole cloth quilt. This one will get you motivated to find those quilt sandwiches and start practicing.

Click here to learn more about the quilt and Alex's reaction to her class.

Jenny's quilt, Midnight Garden, is based on the drought-tolerant landscaping at her California home. It features stunning quilting and a touch of trapunto.

This looks like it would make a great Celtic Knot quilt if you just put a few of them together.

Find out what it is called when you play Jinny's game.

Jenny used the same technique for creating this piece as she did for her Boho Cutwork Denim Jacket. (Watch how she did it in Show 2404.) It is made from hand-dyed wool, hand-dyed silk organza, and polyester thread. Jenny writes in her book, Free-Motion Quilting from Ordinary to Extraordinary, "Once quilted, the back became its own story, hence the name."
