Description:
With Tatted Hearts, Cheryl wanted to show people that even though she was a hand quilter, the quilting she does doesn't have to just be traditional, it can be very innovative. The quilt uses a whole pile of Cheryl's great-grandmother's hand-tatted lace. This allowed her to take something old and make it modern looking. Cheryl hid a lot of things within the quilting itself, like eyeballs, teeth, clocks, and more.
Artist Statement: "The quilt started with a challenge in our guild. It incorporates some of my Great Grandmother's hand tatted lace and has innovative hand quilting."
