Description:
Artist Statement: "From the mysterious lands in the Far East, winding their way along the ancient trade routes now known as the Silk Road, came the caravan carrying goods never before seen in the west. Among their treasures was a shimmering fabric called silk. Today it's still considered just as luxurious. Silk was used in this quilt to enhance the traditional designs that I've loved since childhood, and represents journeys both historical, and personal."
Quilting Method: Movable Machine
Quilting Technique: Appliqué (Hand), Quilting (Free-Motion)
