I had a fun morning when Denise came to give me my new buyer lesson on my Handiquilter 16. She is a friend of Sue Garman's and I got to show her all of my blocks from the 2008 Quilt on the wall. Come to find out she quilts many of Sue's quilts, so I figure she must be pretty good! She was delightful!

Now to practice, practice, practice!!!!

Lynn, I hurt my arm in Austin, before the quilt show. Joe had a great time being a quilt angel. Was that quilt not something else.

Marguerita, did you injure your arm while you were in our fair city for Quilt Festival? Sorry to hear that. Glad it's improving. It was nice to meet you and your sweet husband during QF. He was loving being assigned to the Sisters quilt as an angel!

APOLOGY....Nancy...the little red and white table topper is NOT Alex's new line of fabric, but an older line. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks to Margarita for figuring out my mistake!! Alex's new line is called "Whisperings" and is brighter fabrics. There is a picture of the new line on the November 25th Daily Blog. I don't know if the red and white is still available.

Judy, and everyone else: Be sure to print out your patterns too, in case your computer has a failure and you loose what you have in its wonderful memory. :( :(

Hey, being from TEXAS where the New Year's day tradition is eating black eyed peas - downloading a quilting block and beginning it sounds like a wonderful variation! :D :D

I read in the newsletter that the 2008 BOM will only be posted until Dec. 31. I downloaded it onto my computer.

I am looking forward to the 2009 BOM.

I have posted a very simplified version of the 2009 BOM in SHOW & TELL using colors that my niece has requested for her graduation quilt. I hope by showing this, everyone will see that they can make the quilt any way they want to, but we can take the journey together!

I can't wait for 1-1-09. I may some day do the 2008 BOM but the applique just didn't do it for me. This one I know I'll get into and then I can be a BOMette. Woo Hooo :!:
