Linda, I'm sorry you are disappointed at the direction that this thread has taken. You started it titled "Chat with Sue" about the episode Sue was featured in. You changed the title to include who was going to Houston. Now you don't like what we are talking about. I'm sorry, but for what it's worth, I'm really looking forward to meeting Sue Garman in Houston, now that I'm able to attend, and I want to see Ricky and Alex, too.

I will start a new thread under "Shows, News and Events" to continue this "chat".

:) Thank you Margo, now can we get back to the subject of chat? It was fun to see all those who came as IMHO, it is more fun to chat direct  than having to constantly :? read forum posts for what we've all been up to. Chat is such a wonderful tool 8) :!: and as an original blockswapper, I have found the rooms to be a useful tool and have made some long lasting close friendships and wonder why more members don't take advantage of this wonderful tool that TQS put in place for its' members? What do you all think of setting up weekly or monthly chat times? Of course we would need more than one due to the work schedules and time zones. I personaly would LUV to have a room dedicated to the TQS BOM and get to know more of the participants better. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK :?:

Linda, I am truly sorry that we all got off topic, but if you post your question again, maybe you will get better results this time. :) Judy in AZ

Margo, email Ricky and tell him your problem , or sit in the back and sneak out. Maybe he will stop and let you all who are going to see Alex leave early. What do you say, Ricky? Judy in AZ

OH, MY GOSH!!!
I just got my catalog for the Festival in Houston and realized that not only is there a Ricky Tims Concert on Saturday evening, but JUST 30 MINUTES LATER is the start of the "Silver Star Salute" to ALEX ANDERSON!!!! That is a dinner and award presentation to honor Alex for "a lifetime of dedication to quilting".
I've been to 2 of Ricky's concerts and know that he ALWAYS runs over his alloted time, so I don't know how that's going to work with just 30 minutes to get to the next venue, but I'm definately going to try to get signed up for both events.
What's a girl to do?????????????

I'm really getting excited about getting to see so many TQS members face to face!!! The TQS booth is awesome, thanks Alex! All of us setting together at Ricky's concert is awesome. This is going to be so much fun! Can hardly wait.

Wish I could go too. I tried to get a room about 4 months ago and found all the hotels I called were full up already. One told me they fill up for the Houston show immediately after they open for reservations for the show (usually very shortly after the last one). I don't like flying much, anyway--had too much of it in my day and it's getting more and more uncomfortable and inconvenient all the time. Anyway, hope you all have fun.

Anyone planning on going to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton VA next Feb 26 - Mar1 next year? How about the Quilt Expo in Chantilly, VA in October? I'll be at both of those.

I love the idea of sitting together in Ricky's concert, Margo! We'll plan on it! I plan to bring my DH with me tho since he's never heard Ricky except on my computer! But he's just a country boy at heart like Ricky.

Of course you can join us Pat! Planning on seeing everyone from TQS that we can!

Lynn, in Houston, waiting to see what Gustaf does.................
