I found the perfect red fabric for the October berries. The fabric has tiny stars in the center of a circle. I'll have to get to work on those berries. I have learned how to look at fabrics in a whole new way.
Can you believe how quickly the June blocks are being posted??? Is it really getting easier... or is it just too darn hot to do anything outside?!!! That's certainly the case in my home town (Houston).
I'll give you an early warning about July: there are 23 gold berries (the usual size), 6 green berries (the usual size)... and 14 teeny berries (do NOT use the circle template to make these - they don't need to be round and in fact you don't have to applique them on at all if you don't want to!). So.... stay inside, stay cool, and make berries!
PS - and you can work on the October berries, too, if you want - all 47 red ones... the usual size!
Hey ya'll, I posted my May block..........wow, using the turn under the raw edge technique, this one was a killer.........practice practice practice and I'll get better.......not too bad for a first attempt.........
