    Judi machines

I'm new to forum, and have been reading your sewing machine reviews. I am interested in Juki for quilting . I have a Janome 7700 for general sewing. Anyone have experience with these machines? Appreciate your comments.

    My two go to machines:

Janome MC6500 - had it for since it first came out, nice harp size, works great, nice for FMQ, enough fancy stitches, etc. etc. very happy with this machine

Juki 98Q - this thing was a work horse, power, power, power, very nice stitches, straight stitch only, great for large quilts, FMQ, The only downside I had with the machine was it wanted to go way too fast, but still used it for years. It's not as elegant as a Bernina but more blue collar. Made a lot of queen size quilts with flannel backing.

Between these two machines I have made a lot of quilts, from preemie size to queen size. The whole extended family is covered by my quilts.

On Friday afternoon I bought a Juki TL-2200QVP Mini at the local Quality Vaccuum and Sewing. Feels the same as the Juki 98Q but with a couple little changes. Speed control, different feet, etc. I am definitely happy to be behind a Juki again. Don't have enough time on it to give a full review. I looked at other machines but decided to go with Juki. Go test drive them if possible.

I have other machines: Bernina (for buttonhole applique), Singer featherweight, etc. but the Janome and Juki get the job done. It just depends what you are looking for in a machine. I just make quilts.

I had a F600. Loved the machine. Got rid of it as my neighbors complained as they could hear it through the walls. I sew late at night

Made me realize it sounded like a small jackhammer. But the quality of the machine and Stitches was right there with my Bernina.

I was just at a trade show and saw the new Juki smarter solution line. They were nice and somewhat quiet but very pricey.

You can not go wrong with a Juki. I sold mine simply because of noise

Thanks for the reply, I have seen the F600 but couldn't decide if there was enough room from needle to edge. I only make quilts now and
want a machine with quality stitches. Love the sturdiness of Juki machines. Look like they will last a long time. Used to have a bernina and it was always being
serviced. My Pfaff board went out and it was so old they told me to get a new one.
Any info on the new HLZ machine?
        Thanks again

Thanks for your reply. I am looking at the Juki's. The new HLZ machine looks nice but I only do quilting now. Used to make clothing and have
had Bernina's and Pfaff's. Gave my Bernina to my Grandaughter and she loves it. I always seemed to have it in the shop.
Juki's look durable and may suit my needs better now. Looking at them now, thanks again.

I just saw the HZL machines at a trade show. They are wonderful machines.

Also i only quilt as well. I usually make wholecloth. And do not under estimate the size. I quilted approximately 100 inch quilt on it. The F600.

That is when my neighbors complained as I was FMQ at 3 am.

I think if I had not recently gotten TOL Pfaff. I would have gotten a new Juki as they are massively quieter.

They are wonderful machines. The new QVP lines are nice. But the nicest i saw was the Smarter Solution line.

I now have a Juki TL-98 and absolutely love it. It's a workhorse. But I have been seeing information on the new Juki Kirei machine.
Wonder if anyone knows anything about how good these machines are? I want another machine for applique and general sewing.
Juki seems to be extremely reliable and I love the way fabrics feed on it.
I've had Bernina and Pfaff and loved them both but they were always in the shop. My Juki seems only to need oil and cleaning.
Love to know if anyone has this machine and how you like it.
              thanks
