I remember on holiday in Herefordshire one time and we were at a small stone bridge (cannot remember the river, probably the upper reaches of the Severn) and the river was the boundary between England & Wales. It was bright sunshine at one end of the bridge & raining at the other end - guess which was which

Marianne, you'd enjoy the displays at St Fagan's National History Museum of Wales.
We are very much looking forward to re-visiting St Fagans. We went there 22 years ago and had a lovely time so we will pop out there when there's a whole day of dry weather which has been scarce around here since we arrived  It is on the "task" list after half term.

And for anyone on the other side of the pond having a nosy here, they are also going to be at Houston, the fabrics are on the upper end of the price scale, but so worth it.

 - You lucky thing, I've wanted to get to one of the exhibitions at Lampeter for yonks, There is also the Jen Jones Centre in that neck of the woods, which I believe is well worth a visit. I've only been able to view via their website.

Next week I will be going to the Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter to see their 2012 exhibition: "A Quilted Bridge: The Amish - Welsh Connection" I am really looking forward to that. It will be our first real outing since we moved here in June except family visits. I will bring a notebook in case I am not allowed to take photos. There is supposed to be a quilt shop in Lampeter so that will be visited too. Maybe I will find the orange fabric that started this whole topic off
