Quilts of questionable subject matter.

Recently I have run into two quilts that contain either embroidered swastikas or fabric with swastikas on it. I am hesitating to hang them in our annual small town quilt show. Having researched the history of this emblem I am not sure which way to lean. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I think the symbol is used in Asian art too without the Nazi connotation.

If the subject matter isn't offensive to you just the symbol I'd hang them.

That symbol has been found in art and architecture for centuries. If it is not used in the quilt as a Nazi symbol, I would hang it and use it as an opportunity to educate people about symbolism through the ages. My recent quilt show had just such an entry, the judge commented on it, but we go no upset people that I know of at the show.
