I have come to this party late lol, but I really love the variations of the NYB block patterns. I am making several and will later figure out how I will connect them. Thanks for the patterns and the videos. If I had to choose a favorite block, it would be the New York Beauty. Cheers,

I'm still working on assembling my quilt top. Here's my work in-progress so far. Hope to finish the top later today.

Also are some photos of the vibrant fabrics that I was asked about. I had made them for some art quilts I was working on last year and decided to also use them in this project. I painted with color and texture in Photoshop, then printed on fabric by Spoonflower.

Completed the top, though I'm still thinking about borders. More challenging to work with these fabrics than I expected, but already thinking about another NYB. Different fabrics and layout next time....

This was the most challenging quilt I have made. I learned a lot and next time, I will take more time to ensure that each stitch is exactly on the line. A lot of shoring up and piecing once finished because once it was completed there was lot of stretching. I also would try something that I did not have to tear out, I believe that caused a lot of distortion. I used a fat bundle of Robert Kaufman that I thought when I got it was the worse match of fabrics. This was the perfect quilt to use all these fat quarters and a few adds. I may put a border on it and will post that later.

Hi Alice, Your beautiful blocks remind me of a combination of Jacqueline De Jong, Caryl Bryer
Fallert Gentry, and Judy Neimeyer. But most of all it now reminds me of Alice F. Just stunning.
Where do you find such beautiful fabrics. They just glow. HelenW
