The Quilt Show presents A to Z for Ewe and Me, the latest quilt in prizewinning quilter Janet Stone's 26-quilt alphabet series. Designed exclusively for members of TQS, the 69"x 82" quilt is a playful yet sophisticated sampler. Each letter in the alphabet has its own panel, where it's combined with a related pieced or appliquéd block. Make one for the child in your life, or make one for the child in you!

Thank you. Yes it works and I really enjoyed it. I watch TQS at my desk at lunch time in the theatre I work in with the Costume shop just feet away from me. I hope to send it to Costumes to view.

Susan, that is a number 3 DMC pearl cotton that I machine couched on. I'm pretty sure I sewed it on before I quilted the quilt. I used a tiny zigzag to sew it on.

Janet, on the zoom quilt, there appears to be a blue insert, or piping, or flange between the two outer borders. Is this illusion of the photography? If not, how did you do it?

Great video. A good example of why "couture" is so expensive". We are doing "couture" even if we are copying someone else's ideas. I like to tell my husband when he asks me to sew on a button that it is like asking "Picasso" to paint the garage!!!

this is an experiment to see if this works. If not, I'll delete. It's a video of beading from Atelier de Modelagem

Sue,
Actually, the same thing happened to me, only worse....I had already blanket stitched before I decided I didn't like it. I ended up making a small snip from the back and was able to pull it off the back of the star with a little heat. I then fixed the snip with a small piece of fusible although it probably wasn't necessary. Good luck.

Susan, don't throw out the baby with the bath water! Your border looks wonderful to me. Tweak the center star as others have suggested, then enjoy your beautiful workmanship!
