Yes, Marianne, there are several borders where some of your 2.5" fabrics will work, along with larger cuts of other fabrics.

My stash is old and deep. I found a jelly roll ombre solids. Since I cannot look ahead—is there a border that would suit the 2.5” widths?

The value pack I got 7 years ago is 93 gsm. A few months ago I bought another kind that is 100 gsm. Here is a link to the lighter one:

I prefer the lighter one though it’s hard to feel a difference.

Barbara, What is the weight of the vellum paper that you ordered? You had mentioned that it should be light weight.

Judy, there is no reason you can't combine both solids and prints in your Game On! Decide as you go which fabrics you want to use where. For example, in the center Medallion, Month 2, the outer border fabrics that surround the white spikey pieces would look great in prints. Make your choices as you go.

I look forward to seeing what you decide.

Not entirely but mostly. A couple of the outer borders are not paper pieced.
The instructions and many additional videos provided by the designer give all the information you need to be successful. There is a learning curve to FPP (foundation paper piecing) but once you get it, you can do anything.

Take a look at this Tutorial I have on the process using Freezer Paper--not what Becky does in Game On! but the process I will show:
    https://bbquiltmaker.blogspot.com/20...n-piecing.html

Here is a blog post I did that shows Basic Paper Piecing, like will be done in Game On! About half way down in the post is a simple Square in a Square block demo you can draw out yourself to try the process. Very easy once you get the hang of sewing on the paper with the fabric UNDER the paper:

I don't know anything about paper piecing and don't know if I would like it. Are the instructions base on the quilt being entirely paper pieced?

I don't. You can if you like to do that. Becky Goldsmith does like to pre-wash her fabric and sometimes uses starch or Best Press if she feels it will help.

Do you need to prepare the kit fabrics with starch or best press?

Yes, for the most part you can. The regular quarter yards are to insure long pieces can be cut without needing to seam two pieces together. I am up to month 4 and fat quarters will work so far. A fat quarter definitely substitutes for an eighth yard.

I am looking to source my own fabrics, when the requirements say quarter yard, can we use a fat quarter? Can we use a fat quarter for the 1/8ard as well? thank-you

Debbie, they look right. I found the teals a bit challenging too. Using the yardage made it easier. Don’t let the name confuse you, match the color swatch.

Lime Green on left is 1/2 yd and Soft Teal is 1/4 yd next to Lime Green. The Soft Teal does not look like a Teal to me, but do you think these colors are correct? I did receive 25 different colors and white. Most colors I could identify with no problem, but the teals were a challenge for me. Thanks for your help.
