Hi Lynnanne, Glad to hear you are doing Game On. I plan to do it too. This was the first year in
quite some time that I did not do the BOM Laurel Ridge.Had good intentions but while waiting for the fabric collection I wanted, I got involved in doing a Sue Spargo all
wool and applique hand embroidery BOM
and since everything was new to me, I decided I would
put all my efforts into it. It is coming to an end soon, and I will be ready to get back into piecing.
I am thinking make my game on about the size of a game board. Since it is almost all paper
piecing it is easy to do accurate small size pieces. Can't wait for the first month. Plan to use
my stash. Like Barbara Black I might make more than 1. HelenW

Lorry, would you mind sharing where you found the blue parchment, I really like it too but simply don’t have enough to finish that center medallion block. Also, I didn’t want to piece my borders and found what I thought was the same thing on Etsy and ordered it. As it turned out it’s in the same collection but 108” wide and the print is slightly more open. It’s ok, I’ll be able to do what I wanted with it but would really like to find some of the blue parchment. Thanks.

Yes, the fabric requirements will be posted soon. Simply put, Background is 3.25 yards, and then there are lots of various prints. I hope this will be posted before my “Get Ready” LIVE broadcast Monday November 10, noon Central Time. I will answer all those “what do I need” questions. I know they are working to get this information up on the 2026 BOM Page.

Hello Barbara, I know this is not the right place for this question, but I wanted to ask you if there could be fabric requirements posted in advance for the next “Game On” BOM. Those of us living abroad, and without the possibility to order a kit, could start gathering fabric ahead of time to be ready in January. Thank you

I have the Autumn kit. SO far the only fabric I ran out of is the blue parchment because the instruction had an error and not enough remained to cut correct width. I ordered 1/2 yd from a quilt shop online instead of using the replacement because I really liked the parchment blue.
My Borders: I had hoped to cut my border lengthwise (no piecing) but not enough, and to me its directional and I wanted my flowers all facing the same direction and I also had to match the print so piecing would not show., so I cut my 1st strip WOF, then lined up matching the print before cutting next strip. Did this til I had enough for two sides. Then with what was left I cut lengthwise doing same thing, cut first strip then lined up matching print before cutting next strip. If i had enough ‘waste’ 5” wide I used that as my 2nd strip. I had plenty of fabric left over and although all my borders are pieced, the prints are matched so it doesn’t show.
This quilt top is beautiful but not everyone knows how to cut fabric maximizing what they have, and others religiously cut according to instructions. I personally never cut exactly what instructions say, I cut largest pieces first then use my ‘scraps’ for smaller pieces before cutting another strip. It would have been helpful if someone had tested the instructions for all 12 months before kits were put together to eliminate the numerous fabric shortages and catch the errors. I suggest updating the instructions on how to cut fabrics for the applique.

I also don't have enough of the Spring replacement fabric. I made an error in 1 cutting. In the past enough was included with the kit to have some fabric for error. . I am short 4 - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 squares for the flying geese. I will also contact contact customer service, but this is certainly a problem. It is a lovely quilt and I was looking forward to completing it .

I am at a retreat with Lynn right now. Three people here completed their Autumn kit Laurel Ridge with no need for any additional fabric as they said they cut very conservatively and used leftovers everywhere they could.

who do i contact about the fabric they sent to replace
they did not even send enought to cut the strips for the blocks
i need one more strip of the arabella cream R101519D 1 3/4 inch
and two more strips of painterly flower R581561D 1 3/4 inch
I also had to piece fabric togethe to get enough squares of yelloe spice berry for the center sqaure
I am very dissapointed that I willnot be able to complete this quilt
I do not have enough of the origial fabric to do the four corners either as was you suggestion

J'ai la meme intérogation. Je fais toujours mes bordures sans couture alors qu'avec le metrage indiqué je ne pourrais le faire qu'en cousant des longeur de 45 pouces. J'en suis decu.
