My inspiration was September's birthstone, the blue sapphire. I used 1/8" satin ribbon for the thin stems. It took some maneuvering to work with the straight grain of the ribbon to curve, then I used a 5.0mm zig zag. If it looks odd, it's because I switched around the leaves so they fit better into the space. Still practicing to make small circles "perfect" with hand appliqué.
