I love the pattern but don't really like "fantasy flowers"so decided to do "Wildflowers Down Under".
Using the pattern and concept, with the vases as given all in a blue shade, I have designed appliques of Australian wildflowers to put in the vases instead.
Month 1 is Waratahs and the border for Month 2 is Sturts Desert Pea.
The border triangles for these 2 months is a print of Flannel Flowers in 2 colourways.

Fibreweb, Love the name of your Wildflowers Down Under. Also love James's name for his black background call Garden Party After Dark. Mine is Garden Party in North Idaho. HelenW

I’m trying hard to catch up. I don’t know if I’ll actually be able to do that but month 2 is done.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I can see this in wool as a primitive quilt.

Shannon, I really like the frame look you got from using the light border with the dark half square corners. Good Job!!! HelenW

Finally got the applique corners done. Making progress. Months 3, 4 & 5 are being machine appliqued now. I use the fabric line "Sister Bay" for a softer color palette and then added a lot of other fabrics.
