They are incorrect. It is not a 60 degree angle. Use the template shape in the pattern.

[;n890763]What is size of each individual block?
Each is different and is explained in each month's instructions. Month 1 applique block is 18" with 2.5" borders around.Barbara Black
Is anyone else planning to do the applique in wool?
Vicki, I am not doing it in wool, but it should be beautiful. It will probably have a Sue Spargo type feel to it. Do you plan to do
hand embroidery for the quilt appliqués? Be sure to post pictures. HelenW

thanks Barbara for your guidance and congratulations for yr beautifull quilt; I just look at your photo re the paper piecing border finished : it's 18" , cut right at "foot" of the first and last triangle : but I think that 1.4" is missing on both ends to connect to the corners , am I wrong ?

The Dogtooth borders for Month 1 are 18" x 2.5" FINISHED. They are 18.5" x 3" with seam allowances so they fit the center applique block.
I hope that answers your question.Barbara Black

Arlette, When you say you are missing 1.4 inches on both ends, remember that you add the 18.5 inch side borders to the 18.5 block center square. Then you will add the 2.5 finished (3 inch squares with seam allowance to both ends of the top and bottom borders
to make the corners. Now you will have 24.5 inch top and bottom borders which will fit the 24.5 inch center that has the side
border already attached. HelenW
