Just curious is anyone has asked the question as to how many pieces are in this quilt as the pattern is written. I’m almost done and someone asked me and I couldn’t even answer the question. Hope someone knows because I know it’s been a huge challenge.

I have finished my quilt top except for the borders. These are added by Photoshop in the colours that I have planned. The same grey as the roads and then the background colour as the edging.
I designed the Houses in the City to look like classic Australian Houses and changed the trees to Gum trees.
Quilting it is the next big challenge

Very Cool creative changes to trees and little houses. Such a labor of love beyond the countless hours that must go into every one of these Color my World quilts! And especially love your tower (light blue, black, grey).

I have finished my version of Color My World including quilting it. I substituted 2 of the skyscrapers for ones i have visited, Space Needle in Seattle and the Washington Monument in DC. This was a fun challenge and I love how it turned out. Thank you Barbara for wonderful videos and guidance.

This was fun and challenging as well! I couldn’t wait to get each months addition. I used fabrics from my stash, and it was such fun. It’s definitely a scrap quilt! I also included some of my grandchildren’s favorite characters. If you look close, you’ll see Elsa, and Mickey, and Lucy. Also, being from Pennsylvania and graduating from Pitt, I designed my version of the cathedral of learning after quite a bit of trial and error! A learning experience to be sure! I even included a bit of Penn state, where I work. I’m very happy with the colorful result. Now I need to add a border snd quilt it! (I have it on my living room carpet, and it needs a good press. Borders and quilting to happen after the holidays! Thank you to Wendy snd Barbara, and the videos were great!

No one has asked, I have NO idea and wouldn't begin to count now. Occasionally, I do like it know how many pieces are in a long-term project. Then, I keep count as I make each block, using a spreadsheet. Doing it after the quilt is done would be too much work. So if you want to know, keep count from the beginning.
