    Congratulations Janet Stone

I met a friend at the Shipshewana (Indiana) Quilt Festival last weekend. I see that 2 of Janet Stone's alphabet quilts won first place prizes! Congratulations! The detail is amazing. If you didn't know the one was alphabet themed, you wouldn't necessarily see the letters.

All the quilts were beautiful. I felt from the little time I spend on TQS that I knew the maker of those 2 quilts. I also saw 2 TQS previous BOM quilts - the Kay Nickels BOM.

My girlfriend comes up from Illinois and my DH & I come from Michigan & we meet in the middle.

Aw, thanks, gals! I was pretty excited to win in Shipshewana since I had never entered there before, and it was a first time out for one of the quilts. Nancy, I entered the new one, Ewe Are My Sunshine, in Houston. I'll find out this month if it gets in! Hope to see you in Houston too!

There's a slight chance "Tea for Two" will be there, too. It got rejected last year, but I decided to give it another try. Who knows?

Definitely want to meet up if you go to Houston this year!

Janet, I got to enjoy your quilts displayed in Paducah this year. Can't wait to see your Houston entry. I know it will be just gorgeous.
