My son went to school with a wonderful girl named Camie - they were good buds, in fact went to Sr. prom together. Because of their friendship - I became friends with Camie's Mom - Claire. Who, by the way is a quilter. Anyway, Camie recently moved WAAYYYY out in the country with her darling young family and the person they purchased the property from was a quilter. It seemed befitting that the quilt tops stayed with the property, so they were gifted to Camie. Yesterday Claire came over to show me the treasures..........and what to do, what to do (as they are unfinished). To say they are folk art in their nature and construction would be an understatement - but I have to tell you I LOVED them - so here is a peek at who and what was in my sewing room yesterday. Lucky Camie!

Not only did I get to sleep in the pirates den at Asilomar and look for surfers dudes - but I got to hang out with friends! Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me!!!

A Message from John--I am waiting this morning for Alex to come into the kitchen and I hear her say the following:

"The mirror is having a Bad Hair Day".

It's all in your attitude!

Here's number 3! I don't know how many more there are.Foot in mouth Now this defines the expression "star search" -

This morning I noticed a little silver star on the shower edge - then I sat down at my sewing machine..................hhhmmmmm..................someone has been here (and it wasn't John). Laughing I wonder how many more I will find?

It looks like the DVD's authoring is nearing an end and the master will head off to the manufacturer in a few short days - which means we are getting very close to having them in the warehouse! Sorry for the delay, but it was a tough thing to do and we had unexpected bumps. We know you'll agree, it will be worth the wait.

The back cover of the DVD case has a spot that is begging for a quote or two. How about one from you? If we use your quote on the case, we'll send you a TQS Bernina goodie bag! We are looking for quotes that are between 5 and 15 words reflecting your thoughts on the shows. Fire away!

Although I am ever so greatful to be a teacher at Empty Spools Seminars - there are moments I am pain fully envious of the FIVE days of sewing - complete immersion in quilting. I see this pile of fabric and I want to sit down and start stitching away.............
