Featuring hexagonal blocks, Cathy Perlmutter's Star Map quilt was inspired by the many different subway maps she's traveled in the cities she's lived in. Where do you think this map will take you?

Star Map by Cathy Perlmutter of South Pasadena, California was featured in the Balanced Piecing and Appliqué category at Houston 2019.

I absolutely like everything about this fun quilt. It has both a modern and an old fashion sense about it

Wow, Cathy, the details are so fun to pour over. You have created a colorful, resplendent piece of art. The quilting is incredible, too. It almost makes me want to ride a subway. I was lucky enough to get one of your Hexagonal books, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good read, or an excellent how-to. You make the scary difficult seem doable.

Thanks for featuring my quilt! Here's an update to the label information: The pattern for this quilt is now in my book, "Hexagon Star Quilts, 113 English Paper-Pieced Star Patterns to Piece and Applique," Published by Landauer/Fox Chapel.
