At first we thought it was clever that Marisa Marquez created "pieced blocks" using her machine quilting in My Lone Star Quilt, but then we saw that the entire William Morris-type wallpaper background was actually all machine quilted as well. This type of creativity always makes our jaws drop.

My Lone Star Quilt was on exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Fesitval 2019. It was awarded 2nd Place, Merit Quilting, Machine-Stationary, Sponsored by BERNINA of America.

Stunning. As much as I love William Morris, I would not attempt this. Kudos to you for accomplishing this quilt.

Oh! my! Stunning!
Such patience.
If this is second place in this category, what did first place look like?

This is so unique and outstanding with such wonderful colors and quilting. It must have taken lots of patience to complete it. Congratulations !!!

WOW! That takes "wholecloth quilts" to a new level! The wallpaper is fantastic! Too bad there isn't a zoom on the quilt. The magazine and books on the table, the wood grain and hardware of the table would be interesting to see closeup. Not to mention the lampshade!
