Oh my goodness, the holy grail of quilt shows! I’ve been to many but not this one. You guessed it, bucket list! I’d love to go!

I am a needle artist (quilting, sewing, embroidery, knitting, etc.) not a writer so it is very difficult for me to put into words what it would mean to me to be able to attend. I was able to attend the show in Chicago in 2003. I think it was the first year. But I only had a few hours to look and stand in awe of the work. Being able to spend more time and to attend classes would be amazing. Thank you and congrats to whoever does win. It is an awesome prize.

Here is one definition of dream: definition of a dream that can be put to the test and will pass: A dream is an inspiring picture of the future that energizes your mind, will and emotions, empowering you to do everything you can to achieve it. A dream worth pursuing is a picture and blueprint of a person's purpose and potential. For me all these apply. ... This would make so many of my quilting dreams come true. Just starting with the financial possibility of attend this fabulous event. The exposure to so much talent; the ability to take a class; the time to do that without competing with time to see the quilts and the vendors. All that and have it be the 45th anniversary!

I have quilted for many years, attended classes, taught locally, and entered local quilt shows BUT, I can't even begin to imagine the thrill and excitement of seeing all the entries and mingling with other quilters in a huge arena of this magnitude. I am 74 years old and it would definitely qualify as THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME! Wish me luck!

Every year I read comments by quilters I follow about how exciting quit market was. Now that I am opening my studio to the public it would be such a joy to be able to post about my own excitement there. Meeting my quilting idols and learning how they got started in business would be fascinating as well as seeing all the new products that would make my work easier. Winning the trip would be wonderful!
