Description:
Missouri Splendor by Katherine Malone is an absolutely stunning Baltimore Album quilt that took home Second Place - Large Quilts: 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest (Sponsored by Gammill®) at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2023. Using Sue Garman's Friends of Baltimore pattern from Come Quilt, LLC (2010) it took Katherine three years to make the quilt, but two years to collect all the fabric for it. Then, depending on how many pieces were in it, it took her about a month to finish each block. There are almost 1,000 half-square triangles featured throughout the quilt, with the quilting done by April Wells, and each border took over four months to do.
